SIMPLY ITALIAN GREAT WINES AMERICAS TOUR 2018: two Trade Wine Tastings in North America to present the UNIQUENESS OF ITALIAN WINES to millennials and new consumers.
Series of Guided Tasting Seminars, Business to Business Meetings, Walk-Around Wine and Food Tasting for Press and Trade at the St. James Cathedral Centre in Toronto and the Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami.
MIAMI, FL (February 5TH, 2018) – Simply Italian Great Wines Americas Tour kicks off its annual trade tasting in Toronto, Canada, and returns to sunny Miami, Florida, to showcase the highly anticipated Italian wine selection.
In these two countries there is a prospect of wide margins of growth in the fine wines sector. “Several wineries choose to invest in communication, considering the high per capita spending capacity and the still very high number of potential overseas consumers”, explains Marina Nedic, Managing Director of I.E.M. In America, the culture of fine wine is a field of great interest among the new generations. “Millennials weigh 32% of US consumption (by volume) and Italian wineries should focus on developing these markets.”
The I.E.M. tradeshows’ signature format – educational seminars, b2b meetings and walk-around tasting – is the strength of the tour, created to promote Italian fine wines and establish key relationships with the trade.
On Monday, February 5th, Simply Italian Great Wines meets the Canadian trade in the modern St. James Cathedral Center in Toronto. The program begins at 11 am with a seminar dedicated to the traceability of denominations, presented by Riccardo Ricci Curbastro (president of Federdoc): “Traceability & Regulation of Italian D.O.C. Wines. Focus on Franciacorta: One Territory, Three Denominations”; followed by tastings in the afternoon.
Wednesday, February 7th, the tour continues at cultural Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House in Miami (1300 Biscayne Blvd), recently chosen by David Beckham for the announcement of the new Miami soccer team.
